AVENZOR is a large size pharmaceutical company with high capacity production lines. It was established in 1992 under the investment law No. 10. It is owned by a group of businessmen, medical doctors and pharmacists where the well reputed businessman, Mr.Saeb NAHAS, owns a considerable Chairs of the company and is the chairman of the board of the directors. Dr.Majed KOUDSI, a very well experienced pharmacist in the pharmaceutical industries, is the general manager. Avenzor, in the first phase started manufacturing the under license products for five major international pharmaceutical companies:  Glaxo Welcome England. Smithkilne Beetcham England.- Phrmacia and Upjohn U.S.A.- Rhone Poulence Porer France.  Akzo-Nobel Organon Holland- It will soon launch under license products for the French Company Ethypharm and Avenzor own products. Avenzor production area is divided in two major sections: a) Liquid Syrup 5 millions bottles.  Suspensions 3 millions bottles. - Ointments, Creams + lotions 4 millions bottles. a) Solid dosage forms including: - Tables (uncoated, coated + multilayer ):300 millions. Capsules (Antibiotics + sustained released ): 100 millions caps. In the second phase additional production lines for ampoules and eye drops, and a separated antibiotics plant will be completed. Avenzor recruited a very highly qualified staff with an academic background, and good experience in the field. Total number of employees is around 160. Avenzor manufactures under GMP rules and regulations. It was assessed and recommended by the BSI for ISO 9002 registration. Avenzor’s equipment, services and process had been validated to very high international standard.
