Al Taweel Establishment for Textiles Industry was established in 1974 in Damascus; the establishment started work by producing medical belts and a few kinds of elastic textiles. The establishment then expanded to include all sorts of medical belts and rubber straps, outstripping all other competing companies, which led to a policy of integration, enabling the establishment to produce all the materials it needs down from yarns, until the final product is ready to be delivered to its retail sales points. The establishment also manufactures female clothes of a high quality in both materials and styles. Recently, the establishment decided to link its own Quality Control System with international quality control systems, which is the reason why it is preparing to acquire the ISO 9002 Certificate. A step not as hard as it may seem, since it already has its own Quality Control, along with highly qualified staff and workers, using latest production techniques and equipment in this field.
